I have no idea if it addresses the issues you found or if you even want to try again at this point. I'm thoroughly addicted to 7's <a href="http://www.apple.com/itunes/jukebox/coverflow.html" rel="nofollow">Coverflow</a> - I'm not sure if it is still available separately.
