Via the Gnome-announce mailing list, it looks like code may be underway to redesign the Gnome file selector. And, so far, I think it looks like a worthy improvement :).
I was at first just going to mention this to Jason, but I figured that maybe some other people may be interested as well. Anyhow, I’ve recently discovered an excellent CSS mailing list — CSS-discuss. It’s administered in part by Eric Meyer, which gives a hint as to the caliber of the list.
I’ve only been subscribed for the past week or so, but I’ve found the list to be very helpful. And, even if I’m not asking the questions, I find that answering CSS questions of others allows also me to keep my skills sharp.
As mentioned on the DFWBlogs list, I’ll be going to the Korean Barbeque this evening. I’m not usually big on Asian food, but I’ll keep an open mind about this :).
It looks like OpenOffice.org 1.01 was released while I had my back turned ;). And, yes, the official name of this MS-Office-like product is indeed “OpenOffice.org”.
For those not aware, OpenOffice.org is a great free software package that includes a word processor, spreadsheet app, and presentation app (just like the Office you’re used to). It’s available for Windows, Linux, and Max OSX.
