Better Airline Seats

I heard about SeatGuru from this thread at MetaFilter: “Seatguru has not only seat maps, but reviews of most seats on the big 6 US airlines.”

Of course, I’ve already booked (and arrived) in Pittsburgh for Christmas, but this could be handy for future travel bookings.

Great concept but a little hard to use in a browser with Javascript-mouse-tricks disabled.

Are you using Mozilla to disable the various JavaScript functions?

orbitz lets you change your seat assignment after your ticket has been bought, if the particular flight supports it and seats are available.

No, I’m using IE with PopUpCop.

Mozilla lets you do something similar but doesn’t completely block mouseovers.

Another way to disable some popups in IE is to install the Google toolbar. You have to dig around a bit to find the blocking option.

You better change to use FireFox
