Staples’ One-Touch Stapler with Staple Gun Power

This is why I love Teh Interweb. Ask MetaFilter — the site where you can ask just about anything and community members will chime in with advice and suggestions — has an entire thread on staplers. R0x0rs.

There're several mentioned, but the one that intrigued me most was the One-Touch Stapler from Staples with Staple Gun Power (!). As jjj606 put it:

Staples’ stapler reinvented the whole idea. You use the same force to go through 2 sheets of paper, or 20 sheets. It can stand on the nose end, too.

The next time that I have a need to staple anything, I’m totally getting one of those. Or maybe I should pick one up just in case :).

  1. The force is the same irrespective of the amount of paper you’re trying to staple? Feh.

Oh, wait a sec…it can stand on its nose end??!?

    Oh, man…brb

  2. I tried one of these out a few days ago. Works great. So easy to staple I kept on having to check the paper to make sure I really did staple something (very little force required).

  3. k seriously, I work at staples, and this thing is a lifesaver, trust me, its like, the greatest invention ever. you will want to staple unnnecessarily, all day, and probably become O.C.D.

  4. It works, but there is a catch. Physically ingrained on the metal part of the stapler (probably the box as well as the manual), it states a certain limit in terms of quantity of papers that the stapler is capable. Unlike other standard metal staplers, one can ignore this number and just pound the heck out of it–basically going over the page limits. Well, for this stapler, as mighty as it may seem for a couple of pages, it will not go much over its limit, so beware. However, it is true to its advertising about one touch, but I would not use one finger for it.

  5. I’m glad ya’ll have had such good luck with yours… mine has one inherent problem: it won’t actually staple! And trust me, I read the directions, I know you put the staples in upside down. They’re in there and it WON’T staple!!! Ugh. Any help??
